How to register for an Academic Account

Note that the following guidelines apply only to setting up new Academic Accounts. If you already have an account with a trial personal plan (Basic or Premium), and you'd like to convert it to an Academic Account, please click here.

  1. Go to our Pricing page and choose the Academic option, or click the following link:

    https://my.vertabelo.com/sign-up/create-academic

  2. Complete the registration form.

First, you must indicate whether you are a student or a lecturer. Depending on your choice, you will have to provide the appropriate information.

If you are a student, you must enter the following data:
    - your name
    - your academic email address (i.e., with your university/school/college's domain)
    - name of your academic institution (university or college)
    - website address of your university or college
    - name of the database course which you are going to attend
    - planned date of completion (scheduled graduation date)

If you are a lecturer, you must provide the following information:
    - your name
    - your academic email address (i.e., with your university/school/college's domain)
    - name of your academic institution (university or college)
    - website address of your university or college

  3. If the domain in your email address contains "edu" or "ac", your Academic Account will be created immediately, without any additional requirements. The same applies to all domains that we included on our white list of verified academic domains.

If you would like us to include your academic domain on our white list, please contact us via Support.

If your email domain doesn't contain "edu" or "ac", and it's not whitelisted, you will be asked to submit a scan of your student/lecturer ID card. Optionally, a lecturer may provide a link to a website listing him/her as a faculty member.

If you have any problems with Academic Account registration, please submit your request or question on our Support site.
