Student Account Expiring

Several of my students signed up for Vertabelo this evening and chose "October 2019" as the course date.
They are now getting warnings that their account is expiring on October 24th. How do my students get this corrected so they can use the tool for the rest of the fall semester?

Where is the API documentation

The api documentation only explains how to enable the api and download a model. I found a separate blog post that describes how to download a script.

Where is the complete API documentation (swagger/OpenAPI preferred)?

Deleted student account

Andriej Z il y a 6 ans mis à jour par Palm Glow il y a 6 ans 0

Hello,

Upon creating my account I chose October, 2019 as Course date.

I thought this was the course beginning date.

Would it be possible to restore my account and change the date to July, 2022?

How many columns can be displayed in a table?

We have a fact table in a physical data model.  Even though we have over 120 columns in the table, only a few are visible regardless of how we resize it.  Is there a limit to how many columns show in the table?  Can we modify it?

Printing a Subject area to PNG by selecting the Area Boundary

I cant get this to work?

The PNG diagram simply prints as the coloured rectangle of the area without the tables and references being visible. I have tried "sending it to the back" without success.

The only way I can get this to produce a png as described in the FA Q  is to use  "select area" to Lassoo the  Subject Area boundary and its contents -  and this highlights all the objects, and the PNG prints what Im expecting to see.

Recommended Engine when Preferred Engine is not Available

Noah il y a 6 ans mis à jour par Adam Mościcki il y a 6 ans 1

We want to use Vertabelo to generate ERDs and CREATE TABLE scripts. However we are going to be building our database with Presto. Since that's not one of the available engines, we are thinking we'd just pick one and then make adjustments later as needed. Is this a decent idea? Is there anything that might trip us up? Are one of the engines preferred over others? Thanks!

Solution
Adam Mościcki il y a 6 ans

Hello,

I think there are many differences between Presto and other engines. Therefore adjustments can be huge. I think Postgres has the most similar DDL to Presto.

Unfortunately, there is no guarantee any of the engines will work.

Hope this helps,
Adam

Logical Model not available in Academic Plan

Seems a little limiting to not include on of 3 main models of the product because it is in Academic plan. I know the plan is free and this is great but wouldn't it be great to 1) allow students to learn the product and then hopefully recommend it when they graduate and 2) if the academic plan is for 'learning' then why restrict logical design models which are certainly taught and discussed in academia?

A little confused and somewhat disappointed in this 'limitation'.

Thanks anyway for the Academic plan.
