Can we setup 2FA for our Vertabelo users?  Does Vertabelo support SAML for SSO?

view column names not updating

Teresa Neal 5 lat temu zaktualizowano 5 lat temu 2

I am trying to create a view with columns that are the result of a sum statement.  For instance, when I add the code:

SELECT STATE, SUM(child_count) as Total_Children

from STATE_STATS

group by STATE;

The Total_Children column does not auto_populate  the column name or data type when I choose to "update_columns".

the column names come back as column_n and the datatype comes back as "unknown".

How do I make this work correctly so that I do not have to manually rekey every column?

lost tables and relationships

Joydeep Saha 5 lat temu Ostatnio zmodyfikowane przez Adam Mościcki 5 lat temu 2

Hi

I worked for few hours this morning adding 3-4 tables and details and some more changes to the model. After a gap of 2 hours I came back to work and actually saved once manually as well. But for some reason I clicked on the back button of the browser and lost the work. Now if I even go back to an earlier version all of them showing me the same document.

Can someone suggest what can be the reason?

Thanks

Joydeep

SQL generation for selected objects excludes references unless table is also selected

Publisher Service 5 lat temu zaktualizowano 5 lat temu 3

Lets say I am adding new tables that have relationships to existing tables. When I select new tables and new relationships and use "selected only" option in SQL generation it doesn't generate foreign keys between new tables and existing tables (even though that relationship is specifically selected). The only workaround is to select existing tables as well and then remove DDL for existing tables from the script, which is cumbersome.

Live connection between Vertabelo and database

Martin Zmija 6 lat temu Ostatnio zmodyfikowane przez Mariusz Zakrzewski 5 lat temu 2

It would be really nice if you could connect to a database from Vertabelo and sync the tables directly.
It could be in a way that it would load the database, generate the diagram and once you change the diagram it would make a change script which you can apply directly from the Vertabelo website to the database itself. (in the best case it would try to apply it and show warning if it would fail)

Hi

We had this functionality, but it was not used often, so we have withdrawn
it.

Built-in option to change the database engine when working on a model

Patrick Otin 9 lat temu Ostatnio zmodyfikowane przez anonymous 5 lat temu 5
Recently, when I was working on a big db model, I needed to change database from PostgreSQL to SQL Server. I haven't found such a functionality in Vertabelo, but finally I managed to convert my model using XML Export/Import features.
I'm sure that many users would appreciate if you could add a new option which will allow to change database engine when still working on a model. You could even implement the same mechanism to perform model migration from one database to another (I mean XML Export/Import). After changing the engine, user would get notifications on all problems with incorrect or not-supported datatypes, and obviously he should correct them manually.
This one simple option would do exactly the same as the process described here:
